This bedroom set is from my grandmother's house and probably dates from the 30's to the 50's. I have 2 dressers, 2 night stands, a chair and bed. The chair may have been recovered. My grandmother was quite the seamstress!!!
It is all solid wood and the headboard has 2 sliding panels. Each piece has a number in the 80's and the word "parchment" stenciled on it. Every moving piece glides easily and the set is as sturdy as they come. The drawers have some sort of facet front, sort of like a widdicomb I saw, but the chunky legs and hardware in combination with that don't seem to match in any of my research.
Please let me know what you think this set is made of and who may have made it.
