Description
These chairs are not for sitting...they are very uncomfortable. The fabric coverings are in pristine shape. One of the chair arms is loose as is one of the legs, but they are not broken. The back legs attach to the chair with a peg from the bottom of the chair. The webbing for the seat cushions is in excellent shape. The carvings on the back of the chairs seem to have a slight greenish hue to them almost like a patina, but there is no metal on the carvings. I thought these chairs may have been from a church, but was told by an antique dealer whom I described these too, that they were "hall chairs" another dealer thought they were from the Aesthetic period. Anyone recognize? Approximate a value?
