Have seen this piece with the avp marking on it horizontally instead of vertically and germany painted on rather than engraved online. Also, my marking is more worn off. Does this mean mine is from an earlier year?

<p>Nice piece which I thought at first glance may have been Neundorf or even at first glance looked like a Hagen-Renaker (though that&#39;s not German), or perhaps Schafer and Vater.  The mark is at the moment throwing me.  I&#39;m going to work on this and look up in some of my books and hopefully come up with an answer for you.</p><p>Charley </p>
