Description

9" American brilliant period cut glass bowl. Designed by William C. Anderson during the beginning of The American Cut Glass Co, circa 1897. The American Cut Glass Co was founded by William C Anderson, who was a famous designer at the Libby Glass Co prior to that. The design of this bowl is named and patented: "Radiant Star".  I actually found its patent as well no. 27,062, and I included it in the pictures. It is one of the very first pieces produced by the manufacturer.

The bowl features an extremely heavy weight due to the high lead content that was used in glass at the time. I also tested it using a longwave 365nm UV light and it glows a proper apple green as it should. If anyone has any additional information especially on the value of the piece it would be greatly appreciated!
