Description
This dagger  appears to have considerable age and I believe is either Celtic or Anglo Saxon in style (filligree work and bosse to handle) after doing some limited research on the net as I can find nothing quite like it for comparison. The images are clear and show all condition issues namely some decoration missing from the handle, obvious wear and rust/discolouration, one side of the handle missing edging metal showing the blade handle, a slight bend to the blade halfway down and Im not sure if the tip has not been reworked or may have been cleaned as its more rust free than the rest? It measures 27 cms from top to bottom. The blade appers to be iron, the handle maybe silver based.
