Any information on this ring would be appreciated it was found in my mothers jewelry after her passing would want to get in insured if its of value.

10k indicates that the piece is 41.66% white gold, not platinum. The colour and cut of the diamonds and amethysts are poor, as is the craftsmanship of the band.

It is of some value (perhaps $150 - $250), but not much. Insure it if it has sentimental value to you, otherwise, I would consider selling the ring and using the proceeds to pay for part of the cost of a newer, better one in her memory. An upgrade, if you will.
