Description
This is an antique bedroom set I purchased from an antique store in my area. The store owner picked it up at an auction in Little Rock and says it was an import from France. It has a dresser with large mirror, full size bed, tall dresser, and nightstand. It appears that the drawers have been restored over the years but from the overall structure of each piece it looks like it is a pretty old set. I have checked the drawers inside and out, the backs of the pieces, the bottoms, etc and I cannot find any name tags or manufacturer information or information about where the set was made and what date. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We are proud of this set for its beauty and interesting appeal, but would just like to know more about it!
Re: Antique Bedroom set with ornate carvings
Sets like these date between World Wars 1 & 2 ( 1918-1939), they look older than they are because they were designed after Victorian Rococo furniture made Circa 1850. There is currently not a big demand for furniture like this, we often see comparable suites go at auction for about $500.00.
