Description

Story behind blanket is that American soldier came by it upon liberation of Europe. It was found in a burned out castle in France. When a german soldier found an object he thought might be valuable to the Third Reich he would mark it with a swastika ... see lower right corner. The picture in the middle is of 3 women and one man, dressed in very old french costume. One lady is playing a harp and the others are listening. I do not know if the picture is painted  or dyed but suspect dyed. It appears to be machine stitched around the border and is uneven. Given its age, it piece is in fair condition with a fiew areas of natural wear. Dye has bled through to back side. Fringe is in good condition. I want to put it on Ebay but am concerned about nazi prohibited items, although this is just a mark of identification.

Very nice pieceof history ,  value would depend on what someone would want to pay since there are not any , or many , to compare the pricing to.

Keep it dry , out of the light. If you do decide to sell it let me know, I will make a fair offer the best I can.
