Description

I purchased this "Buffet" in Gloucester, Virginia in 1989 at an antique store when I was 16. I would like to know as much as possible about it. So far I can not find any type of markings. The top center section use to have 2 sliding glass doors which fell victim to an unfortunate accident. The door knobs were added by my mom because it did not have any handles. The hinges are long skinny thin metal. Not sure of type of wood. I doo however know that it is really heavy and that it is very strong and sturdy because during a move someone didn't secure it in back of a pickup truck they hit a hole goin down the highway at 60 mph the top section bounced out of the truck hit the actual highway road bounced off into the ditch and survived with just a scratch (I was the vehicle following the pickup and watched it happen thinking it was going to be shredded)
