antique "carriage clock"

By cillalilly, 13 February, 2019
Description

My father used to collect antique clocks.  I'm 53 now and this clock has always been in the house.  I was always told it is a carriage clock.  I heard mention of a mark that was looked up and "Napoleon's brother's clock maker" but I can't find a mark other than a number scratched on the inside that looks like 701 or 707.  It's about 6 inches tall and quite heavy.  It, or at least some of it, looks like brass to me.  Thanks.
