I have tried many different searches using different keywords and descriptions to find information but have had no luck. I have not been able to find even one other piece like this.
It is a cast iron frog attached to a decorative cast iron base. The frog is connected to the base with a piece of metal allowing him to bounce or rock when you push down on him. He has a costume or uniform painted on him and the paint appears to be original. His hands are about an inch apart so I was wondering if he was supposed to hold something.
I'd like to know how old this is, along with whether or not it served a purpose or was just decorative, and also an estimate of value. Thanks in advance for any help!!
