antique chair with hand carved arms and original upolstry

Description Bought this off a friend because its so darn comfy. I love the hand carved arms too. All I know is this chair may be from the 1930s and may have been made near new york. Far as I know it is original upolstry and the condition is excellent (no snags, tears on upolstry no damage to wood). Also the arms move slightly side to side. (Apparrently theres a term for this but the name slips my memory). Any information will be greatly appreciated I am so curious the history of my new favorite chair
