Description

I remember rocking on this green leather chair in front of the TV during the 50's on many a Saturday morning watching cartoons and Tarzan. I think it is as old or older than me (66) but not sure. I'm considering giving it to one of our grandkids but I'm wondering It's value? It has a brass tag fixed to the rear of the leather cushion - "Murphy Chair Co Inc. Since 1872 Owensboro, KY". Chair is in excellent condition. Leather not torn or cut and oak wood and finish is in excellent condition as well. Anyone know what this heirloom is worth? Thanks, RussN

Chairs like this tend to date from the second quarter of the 20th century and as yet really have not appreciated in value, comparable chairs often go for less tha $50.00 at auction.
