Description
Antique Swiss made Cigar Box.
This Box is made of Sterling Silver and is lined with wood. There are several markings that will make it easy to identify it's origin. The markings are as follows:
- BOTTOM-(On Silver Border)- [STERLING SILVER MADE IN SWITZERLAND]
- FRONT-(Stamped 1/2'' ) -[Ω]
- SIDE PANEL-(Upper left corner Stamped in recessed rectangle) -(3) Makers markings;
- 1. [0925]
- 2. [Silversmiths Mark] Unknown maker, the symbol is a shield divided into 3 parts with a circle in each of the sections.
- 3. [Ω]
The box has a hinged lid and it's finish is a tooled pattern with 1/4'' smooth polished borders. The entire box is Silver except for the bottom. The bottom has a 1/4'' border of silver which is marked and the rest is the cedar inner lining which shows through.
