The pocket watch is working and holds time. I have checked it over a week and it seems to stay accurate as long as it is kept wound. The watch is all gold inside and out, even the face plate is gold, and the numbers are italicized as well as the name. There is a bust shot of an elk with possibly a fern around its neck. There is not any sign of tarnishing, discoloration, chips, or even dings, It appears as to have never of been used and was always packed away. There is a small amount of hair line scratches inside the case which I found using a magnifying glass, but other than that, it is perfect. The glass over the face could be replaced as it seems a little cloudy. This may be fixed by a good polishing, I don't know, or maybe it should be left alone to show its age. There are three covers to the watch, the front cover, the back cover, and a cover over the movement.
