Re: Antique Engagement ring
It is better to get an appraisal at a jewelry shop because the clarity of the diamond will affect the value and someone has to look at it with a jewelers eye to see the clarity of the stones.
Re: Antique Engagement ring
How much will you sell for?
Re: Antique Engagement ring
Check inside the ring for a marking like 14K which denotes 14 carat gold. You can also put it near a magnet. Real gold will not go to the magnet, but fake will. I agree with the other comment that you will need a jeweler to determine the true value of the diamond. Do you know the ring size? I might be interested in purchasing if the price is right and it's real.
