Description
This is a very heavy antique box. It is not large in size though. It is a dark brown with gold accenting. In the front it has "A La Reconnaissance" inscribed on it. When you open the box, the main part is open and vacant however the top has a plate with a circular opening. There are many diffent decorative markings (as seen in picture). I have not seen another item even close to this one.

I believe it to have come from Europe as it belonged to my wife's grandmother who loved antiques from Europe. I believe this piece to be specifically from France due to the inscription.
