Interesting find! Does the top unscrew? 3A Marine indicates it to be made for water craft 40 to 65 feet in length. So it's a marine fire fighting nozzle. I am assuming you meant 8 inches (") not 8 feet (') long. and the top opening appears to be about 1" or 3/4" not 2" as you indicted. It looks like a 'straight stream' nozzle - meaning it puts out a stream like a garden hose, going for the distance. That makes sense given what I believe it is. I couldn't find the manufacturer name "fognozl of Canada" but have heard the name before. I suspect it's WWII or later vintage. What I believe you have, is one of the fire fighting nozzles from a harbor fire boat such as the one here: http://www.lafire.com/fire_boats/articles_fireboats/boat2_19450300_gv_BoatSpecifications_Allen.htm An interesting piece, particularly if you can find more history on where it might have come from. I'd suggest that it's auction value is somewhere between $70 and $250 depending on the interested bidders. It would probably go up with additional information on the boat it came from. 250chief (a land locked fire fighter!)
