Antique Fish

Description

ORNAMENT WHICH RESEMBLES A FISH

MATERIAL: Electrum (based on X-Ray Fluoresecent Analysis, Certificate available)

WEIGHT: 102,25 grams

PROVENANCE: I bought this item for 18K gold from a person I do not know. It turned out to be natural Electrum. I did further research and found out that in 1972 in an area that is close to the location where my item had been found, a tractor driver incidentally discovered the oldest man-made golden and Electrum ornaments in the world. The Varna Necropolis predates the first Lydian Electrum coins with over 3000 years as well as Egypt and Shumer!

The item I have for sale may have been made around the same period - 5-4 Millenium B.C.E.
