Description

missing key, and second hand. and the main motion is broken. I will be usuing this information to find parts to replace and fix, and i plan on haveing a key made. So please include an appraisal for as is and with repairs. i need to know if it is worth fixing. i have already had an estimate on the work.

Sorry to inform you but the value in this timepiece is going be far greater sentimentally than monetarially. It is a very common production grade swiss watch, circa the late 1800s house in a silver case. Watches like these in mint condition are worth $100-125, you would be putting $500-1000+ into having the repairs you listed done, and I doubt having a key made is even possible. The movement itself "10 rubis" indicates the watch has 10 jewels and have would have been made for the working man with higher grade watches having 18 to thirty jewels. Sorry for the bad news but it is what it is.
