Antique frame with possible drawing or watercoler of family portrait

Profile picture for user glenn300
By glenn300, 13 August, 2014
Description

Very old antique frame and possible painting or family portrait that may have been touched up with chaulk or water coloring over the original picture to give it the look of a painting. The glass that covers the painting/portrait is wavy with bubbles in the glass. When I took the back off to get some info I noticed the portrait was adhered to a sheet of lead that was molded to give a 3D effect to the faces of the poeple in the portrait. Other then that I think the frme is of the real value unless this is of someone famous. We aquired this portrait with all content of a west palm beach mansion over 25 years ago. We were not allowed to know the owner of the mansion was. We were told we could donate or auction off all content. I kept this portrait to research who the owners were but never came up with nothing.
