I'm not sure about the stool and what it's composed of, but the table definitely looks like a marble-top judging from the variations in the color. Maybe bronze for the base/rim? I can't tell. If it is metal/bronze, I don't think you're supposed to "clean it up," as it might decrease the value of the table.

Some one threw this in the trash I don't know why
but it looks pretty old I might just go in an antique store to get it appraised
