Antique glazed pottery water vessel, blue and white

Description

Circular, fits into adult female hand fingers outstretched.... opening at top, opening at bottom that apperas to have a stopper in it.... I have no idea what it is... it was my grandmothers, My grandfather came to

Australia by ship from Scotland at the begining of the 20th century.

The pottery is quite thick and coarse, the glaze is imperfect perhaps during firing, the base has some broken from the opening, perhaps it was more like a spout to drink from, and perhaps it is not for water, but something more fortifying???
