Antique goblet type

Description

I am unsure of this item I have as it was a gift from a friend clearing out her home upon moving. It is approximately 1/4 inch shorter than my galaxy s4, gold, solid, with carved (etched) holes and hand carvings that appear to be Egyptian.  There are holes at the base which is a bit wider as if for tie downs but that would be in my mind from several millenia ago.

Re: Antique goblet type

I'd suggest getting it appraised by someone.

And it is not even close to Egyptian. They would use hieroglyphs, symbols. That is writing. Most likely Yiddish, or in layman terms, Jewish script.

If it is Jewish, you can find someone jewish and see if they can find out what it says. Though one letter doesn't look like something from the Yiddish language.

Also do a search for alphabets from different languages and you'll most likely find out which one it is.
