I believe this is a Japanese Cottage Teapot. It has been in my family for as long as I can remember, at least 50 years. It is handpainted. The handle and spout look like trees trunks, the lid is green and looks like a Japanese Pagoda. It is made by Marutomoware, Handpainted Japan, Japanese Writing then numbers 59943 or s9943. There is one fingerprint size chipped off piece of paint on the lid, other wise in perfect condition.
I would love to know the history and value of this piece. It is not for sale.
Thank you very much!
