I beliebe it to be from the mid to late 1800's its made of brass the back door has two hooks on it i believe to put on a helmet or a belt i also believe that because of the hole at the bottom of it that it can be used with a candle also instead of kerosene

Your lamp appears to be in slight rougher condition. The lamp looks to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s and in your cindition, they can sell for about $20-$35 a piece. The collectors market is quite stong for kerosene lamps right now.
