Antique Little Chief Fire Extinguisher

Description

The front of the bottle says "LITTLE" vertically on the left and "CHIEF" vertically on the right, both in red lettering. In between is a picture of a little boy in a fire fighters hat with the number 1 on it. It is in red, black, and white. Below that in red lettering is "FIRE" "EXTINGUISHER". In smaller,black lettering: "FOR SMALL FIRES IN / THE HOME OR CAR". In smaller black print the following reads: "Excellent protection from / small gasoline, oil kero- / sene, grease or electic / fires. Most fires start small. / Keep cool and use your / "LITTLE CHIEF" at once. / Keep one handy on each / floor of your home and in / glove compartment of car." Then in red lettering: "DIRECTIONS". In black lettering: "Remove cap by lifting / small lever. Dash contents / at base of fire, not at / flames. Fire is snuffed out / by harmless gas. Contents / will not injure finest fabrics." In red lettering: "CAUTION". In bold, black lettering: "Do Not Remove Cap Until / You Are Ready to Use Ex- / tinguisher. Then: "CONTENTS--6 FL. OZS." "FOSTER BROTHERS CO." "Decatur, Illinois" The bottom is embellished with: OES.PAT. 94747
