Description
I recently purchased a lounge suite off of a friend who has had it for about 40 years and cant remember where she got it from and I have searched everywhere to try and find any info on it at all and have had no luck what so ever. The lounge set comes with a 3 seater 2 single seaters and 2 kiddies chairs there is no markings on any of the chairs that i can find any info like how old they are or what era and a rough value would be greatly appreciated (ignore the watermark on the pics as it was the only way i could resize the photos to get them on here)
Re: Antique Lounge Suite
These are copies of Victorian Rococo Revival furniture originally made during the mid 1800's, but this set dates from the 1920's to early 30's. It's most likely European in origin. Unfortuneatly values for upholstered furniture of this type is quite modest in the current market, the cost of re-upholstery being very expensive. At auction comparable sets now often sell for under $500.00.
