I would like to get the best appraisal as possible; I know that this wood "could be" fake mahogony. I found one small light spot that you can see in the picture. I cleaned the wood and cushions only; and left everything as is. The carving of a "court jester" has me very intrigued. The chair is in mint condition. I found one small tear in the cane backing and plan on having a professional repair it. The cushions are dark green in color; and very thick and heavy. There are two that come with this chair, I left one off so you can see the face carving.
