Antique Naval surgeon's chest

Description This was a gift from a friend who told me it is a Naval surgeon's chest. The inside has spots carved into the wood where medical instruments would rest. The feet have holes where the chest could be bolted to the floor. There are no markings as to a ship it may have been on. But there is an inlay on the top and front with a monogram. The only marks are from the locksmith which is Hobbs & Co London. Any info would be greatly appreciated. As well as value. Thank you.
