Kevin this painting you bought is a nice 8x10 (small) painting, I have spent a few hours looking up the artist , in the Bluebook of Cali. artist . I found none. None found that has the signature of yours. But that being said, The paint stroks are very basic, like a Bob Ross student style, or something you find at a starving artist sale. not something a great artist would use. I did find the frame, seems the frame is worth more then you paid for the painting. So I would say with frame, its worth $50.00 to $80.00.. I do not beleave the older frame is the one painter would have used. this was put together to make it look good is all. also its not what I would call Antique, because there are staples used to mount painting. Antique is something 100 years or older. Vintage used to discribe my age. Now I'm not an art expert and I do not claim to be. I do paint, and I have paintings that look just like yours, that I have painted. so I do know the strokes used on the paintings. hope this helps you..........

Paintings like this tend to be "Decorator Art" sold in conference rooms at Hotels, the artists names are often made up, as these are made to order, often in multiples of the same scene. Values for them tend to be very modest in the secondary market, often less than $100.00.
