The style of this beautiful desk appears to be Louis XV. We have been unable to find informtion about this desk or even a similar piece and have been searching for well over a year. It has dainty feet with a Gilded decoration at the base, as well as at the point where legs meet desk. Every piece is dovetailed. There is a large drawer with inlaid design, and above that is a pull out leather topped writing surface ( 16 1/2 X 18") The desktop has a roll top with inlaid design at either end which measure 8 3/4 " across (each). Above the roll tops there are 2 medium sized drawers and between those in the center are two smaller drawers (All have inlaid design) The very top of the desk has a 1" Brass rail Sides and Back) The bottom of the large drawer has a handwritten mark "Milano 3082". The underside of the pull out writing surface has a mark "15". The trim around the edges is a bit faded, but is gilded as well.... Help?
