Appears to have been manufactured at J-Stevens Plant --J-Stevens Arms company Chiscpee Falls Mass USA, stamped on rt side with #5000, but after savage bought MFG facility and was stamping all mfgs Stevens-Savage, Around mfg # 4000, but this rifle-shotgun is #5000 looks like ghost made for someone special. On lft side reciever Stevens Stamped or engraved with bird dog in grass ingraved with gold inlay, still some left Single trigger DBL BBL, auto Safety,Dual sight posts, All parts Stamped and match d1300 even the wood, Stock burned to fit ,old time stock fitment, reciever heated very hot and stock pressed on to reciever making perfect fit, Does have recoil pad installed and crack on rt side fore stock, no gap exposed. Other than that it is beautiful and shoots beautifully. Appears to have full choke with approx 30-32 inch bbls. Balance is excellent and it just shines. 12 ga proof marks on bbls, very nice trigger pull, amazing for a gun this old, savage didn't introduce dbl bbl single trigger under their own name until 1974, this gun was way ahead of its time, waiting for appraisal now, 817-705-9746 My web cam gives mirror image left side view is really rt side of gun, and vice versa, all reversed sorry.
