Painted by Gies and Company in Buffalo NY

identifying marks on bottom of border:  T.1228     Patent No. 642,270   Gies & Co, Buffalo, NY

Was given to my Grandfather by his Stepfather.  He died in in1963 age 71 which should place the painting at approximately 100 years old.
