antique rocking chair.front of seat is rolled.carved into wood are 2 american flags that are criss-crossed.flag on left has 76 with stars in an upside down "u".flag on right looks like our flag now.In between crossed flags is the liberty bell that is carved with the words:PENNSYLVANIA,PASS STOW,PHILAD.then underneath the entire carving are 4 stars.The back of chair has 2 spindles on each side that are divided by a flat piece.legs have gold looking paint on round part of wood that is chipped and fading.has arm rests that scroll down at ends.seat looks like it is not one piece of wood,kind of like an older hard wood floor.there is no stamp or any markings from whoever made it.

These are reproductions, most of them made on the run up to the bicentennial year 1976. They are copies of windsor style chairs made during the late 18th to early 19th century, we'd retail one for about $150.00 if in very good condition.
