History I bought this rocking chair in Midlothian, VA at an estate sale when I was pregnant with my first child. The seat is low to the ground, and I am short so I can sit and rock comfortably. The only thing I know is that I was told by the seller that it was his father's, it is an antique, and that his father had it reupholstered in this red velvet fabric which was very bold for the time. It is padded and very comfortable. I paid $40, and want to know if it's worth anything.
