Your rocker does date from the turn of the 19th Century, similar chairs were made 1890-1910. Chiars like this were mass produced items, most pdroduced by factories centered in Grand Rapids Michigan, then the furniture capital of the world. No great value though, what you paid is about what they go for at auctiuons and yard sales.
