Antique Rope Daybed

Description

This daybed is held together by rope which is threaded through the holes in the posts.  I have used it with the rope, but am not using it at this time.

It is 75" long.  the some of the posts appear to be pine.  One of the posts (the front length one) and the end pieces seem to be a harder/heavier wood.  When I purchased it, I believe that they said it was cypress (?).

I purchased it about 35 years ago from an antique shop in New York's Hudson River valley.

I think that I paid about $250-$300 for it.

Any information about what it is/history and value would be very appreciated.

Thank you.
