Description

Can you please help? Please don't mind the "cleanliness" as I am unsure how to clean it since I am unsure what it is/made of, etc. The only markings I see are in the bottom: Appears to be a picture of an eagle then WM (the M is slightly raised with an underscore) ROGERS; after the last letter there is a star. If possible, I would like to know the approximate year this was made, location, if it is worth an money/current value, and if so, where I can possibly sell it. Thank you!

Distinguishing marks WM ROGERS is all capitalized with the M raised and underscored. The name is preceded by a symbol of what appears to be an eagle and following after the name is a star.

Based on the images and the marking this piece is late 19th to early 20th Century silverplated and of limited value. The current market is heavy with silver electroplate, a result of downsizing Baby Boomers flooding a market with few buyers. Values depend a great deal on the condition of the silver plate, if the plating is worn at all it's difficult to sell at any price, pieces in good condition often sell for under $50.00
