History I inherited this piece from my grandmother in Toronto, who was raised by her aunt in St. Albans, Vermont. This piece belonged to the aunt. Not much is known about it. The markings are very intricate (see photos), with vines, leaves and winter vegetable-type appliqués on the top of the teapot, there appears to be raised flowers on the body of the teapot. My grandmother's aunt was married in the early 1870's; I believe she received this item as a wedding gift but I cannot be 100% sure.
