It took me awhile to identify this one, I've seen them many times over the years in my collecting. What looks like N8H is actually K & H which is the makers mark of Kerr & Hinz Tile Company dolls of Santa Clara, CA. This company was in business between 1943-1956. This little baby falls toward the earlier date of 1943 since it is painted bisque (porcelain). I don't know if the doll had a name although these could be purchased in local drug stores and what they used to call the 5 and dime because you could purchase things for 5 cents, a dime and on up, like our dollar stores of today. The condition is wonderful, much better than most.
