AI Appraisal
Description Chair is made of wood, hand-tooled leather bottom and back. Cartouche of man with conquistador type helmet on seat. Cartouche of woman on back. Rosettes along the chair back. Finials on chair look like some type of gargoyle type bird. Think this might be a hall chair and may date to Spanish Renaissance but not sure. Seat is leather with burlap sack and (straw?). Contruction is nails, and parts that slot in together.
