Bought at a flea market. The guy said it was from the 1800's and was a steam pressed chair. It is very ornate and has an odd design pressed into it. I believe you can see it in the pictures. I wish i could give more details on it.

This a pretty standard "press back" chair dating from the turn of the 19th century. They were a hot item during the 1980's, but demand for them has been in decline since then, these days even one in perfect shape is hard to get more than about $75.00 retail for.
