Description

It appears that someone tried to distress the table with some type of thick varish, but whatever was used is chipping off.  The picture on the tray is etched (or scored, not sure what you call it).  The image is some sort of old English type design.  It is a man and woman dressed in old English style clothes, standing on a bridge.  The picture is sort of hard to see because of the attempted distress. There is no glass on the removable tray.  The structure of the table is in excellent condition.  I thought about refinishing it, but wanted to find out more about it first.
