Description

Two tiered table with carving, fluting and edges embellished with gold beads.  The shelves are made from one piece of wood?  Mahogany?  Each shelf has eight hand carvings embedded into it's top.  Fluting? between shelves?  Odd dimensions.  Height 29"; top shelf = 23 1/2" x 22 3/4"; bottom shelf 19" x 19 1/2".  Any information would be helpful - what type of wood? what period? how old?Purchased at an auction some yeas ago.

Your table dates from the first quarter of the 20th Century, and like most of them is a mix of styles. Most are maple with figured walnut or mahogany veneers. Values peaked for tables like this back in the 1990's, since then values and demand for them has been in decline. We'd retail on like this in good shape for about $275.00.
