Description

This wood carving is 11" from top of head to toe. 

Appears to be hand carved and painted a flesh color at one time. Leg is attached with three round headed nails in front and one in back

 

figure has one glass eye and one is missing. However, in the crown of the head there is a round depression with a glass eye inserted there. It appears to be larger than the one on the face

 

what is this?  Doll?  Religious icon?  Do you have any idea of age or value?
