Description

High back bent leg chair. Upper back is etched and is attached to the lower back support by several spindels. The seat is missing the seat frame has dozens of small hole as if for a weaved seat.  All spindles dowel into the frame. The two bent wood pieces holding back to seat are set with old slotted screws. Looks all original not stained or painted. If it is not to valuable my wife wants to paint it distressed style.

Your chair is in the Colonial Revival style and dates from the turn of the 19th century. It's a factory made piece and not rare, so feel free to do what ever you want to it ;~)
