I have the same chair and I believe it is made of mahogany wood by the Grand Ledge furniture company. I would like to obtain an appraisal on this chair also.
Your chair is a 1930's reproduction of an 18th Century Windsor chair, most of these are a mix of light colored hardwoods like maple or birch. These were mass produced items and still survive in large numbers, so values tend to be modest, comparable chairs often go at auction for less than $30.00 a piece.
Re: Antique Wooden Chair with Back Brace
I would really appreciate any information you could give on this piece.
