was purchased by my Grandmother in the late 60's, it has been hanging on her wall ever since.
The artist that she purchased it from was located in South Miami, FL at the time. He was an old man , The work was done by him by hand, the colors that are shown on this were made up by him as well, special dyes.
Each Picture was hand carved, every intricate detail was hand carved.
The Frame and the picture itself are all one. it is made 3 dimensional. the windmil, the water ,the boat, the church, everything stands out away from the picture. I truly think that it is One of a kind, since I have been unable to find anything like it elsewhere.
The dimensions are: 52 1/4" Long by 27 1/4" wide.
The Backing on the picture is paper, it was never removed .
It weighs approx. 50 lbs
