Description Anton Wingen JR Carving Set. My wife and I inherited this carving set from her grandparents. He was a pilot in the airforce and was stationed all over the world. I think it's from around WW1 era based on information I found here: https://www.othello1888.com.de/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=10 https://www.lakesidetrader.com/Education/Maker-Mark/Anton-Wingen-Jr-Solingen-RZM-M7-51/index.php the set is still in the original box and in very good shape. A good cleaning should see them excellent.
Category Metalware
Medium Stainless Steel and Horn (Stag Grips). "In this early period, Wingen had a great influence over revolutionizing forging processes and shaping technological advancements with injection/compression molding techniques." So the handles could be something other then horn.
